John Paul College at Daisy Hill in Queensland, Australia is more than just a college for young adults to pursue a higher education; in fact, it actually consists of several different schools which are focused on helping students of almost any age. As such, it was extremely important that the school's IT Department be up-to-date on all of the latest technology; but unfortunately they weren't.
Because JPC was already operating on a tight budget, most of their 230 printers were old, inadequate inkjet printers; most of which were purchased years ago for no more than $100 or so. This made for inaccurate prints depending on which printer was used for the job, as well as downtimes and processing times that were just unacceptable in the 21st century. Operating on these outdated printers, which could be anywhere from 3 to 15+ years old, the school's Board of Directors recognized the need for change.
Thankfully, JPC teamed up with Fuji Xerox Australia, naming them as their one and only vendor to oversee a massive overhaul of their IT Department's printing equipment - and that's exactly what Fuji Xerox did. In order to cut both document production costs and times, some 130 multifunction devices and printers were installed throughout the school system; including the ApeosPort-II C4300H, the DocuPrint C3210DX and the DocuPrint C3290FS.
In order to minimise the impact of installing 130 new printing devices, Fuji Xerox worked closely with JPC to develop a work schedule that would still allow the school's staff to perform their day-to-day operations without any obstruction. While it was a monumental task, in the end it was worth it. JPC now sees a consistent print quality that is up-to-date with the standards of the 21st century; and as a result they will be enjoying high quality printing services for quite some time to come.
